The official viewing figures for The Mad Woman in the Attic have recently been revealed by the Broadcasters Audience Research Board (BARB). The two part story is taken from the third series of The Sarah Jane Adventures and was written by Joseph Lidster. Both the episodes featured Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith with Thomas Knight, Daniel Anthony and Anjli Mohindra as Luke Smith, Clyde Langer and Rani Chandra. The story sees Rani investigate strange rumours about a 'demon' (Eve) in a fairground. Part one of The Mad Woman in the Attic was first broadcast on the 22nd of October at 4:35pm on BBC One. This broadcast managed to achieve an official viewing figure of 0.75 million, meaning it was watched by this many people. Part two of The Mad Woman in the Attic was first broadcast on the 23rd of October at 4:35pm on BBC One. This broadcast managed to achieve an official viewing figure of 0.84 million. The two episodes were also shown on BBC HD, but the official figures are not available. The previous story, Prisoner of the Judoon, was watched by 0.73 million people (part one) and 0.82 million (part two). The Sarah Jane Adventures continues with The Gift this Thursday and Friday at around 4:35pm.
